Besides your assigned responsibilities, the Steward is the right-hand to the Onboard Manager and the two of you assist wherever it is necessary to ensure a seamless guest experience. You’re not just on one train car, your duties take you the length of the entire train, both up and downstairs. Perform a variety of maintenance tasks and reporting. Observes mechanical operations and provides troubleshooting assistance Cleans common areas and restrooms. Routinely monitors onboard systems and adjusts as necessary. Maintain climate controls, generator systems, audio systems, GPS and point of sales equipment. Perform inspection rounds with a strict timeline to ensure proper temperatures of freezers and coolers. Operate the interior and exterior lifts and assist passengers with special requirements. Document and submit daily maintenance issues to senior maintenance staff.
