Join Bath Spa University's Estates team and help maintain the mechanical infrastructure that supports our academic, residential and historic campuses. This hands-on role offers a varied workload across HVAC, heating, cooling and water systems, ensuring our buildings remain safe, comfortable and operational for students, staff and visitors Deliver planned preventative, reactive and corrective maintenance across the University's mechanical services infrastructure. Maintain, fault find and repair HVAC systems, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, heat pumps, chillers and hot and cold-water systems. Coordinate boiler servicing and gas safety inspections, ensuring compliance with current regulations. Support the operation and optimisation of biomass boilers, energy centres and district heating systems. Supervise specialist contractors working on mechanical systems across the estate. Coordinate water hygiene testing and compliance activities in line with L8 requirements. Procure spare parts and contribute to effective stock management. Share technical expertise and support the development of colleagues. Undertake minor plumbing and general building maintenance tasks where required. Maintain plant rooms and service areas in a safe, clean and operational condition. Liaise with building users and stakeholders to communicate maintenance activities and minimise disruption. Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with health, safety and compliance requirements .
