About this role

Aurora is seeking an experienced Technology Project Manager to join our growing Internal Technology team. The role will lead end-to-end delivery of technology and SaaS projects that improve how Aurora operates and support the continued growth of our global business. Working across business functions and multidisciplinary technology teams, you will translate business needs into clear project outcomes and coordinate delivery across areas including Enterprise Systems, Architecture, Data, Information Security and IT Operations. You will be responsible for establishing practical delivery plans and governance, managing budgets, risks and dependencies, and maintaining clarity and momentum throughout the project lifecycle. The role is highly business-facing. You will build strong relationships with project sponsors, business stakeholders, technical specialists, vendors and implementation partners, ensuring that decisions are well informed and that technical topics are communicated clearly in business language. You will also ensure that projects deliver the required business, process and organisational change: not simply the implementation of new technology. You will work independently while leading project teams through a matrix structure. You will take ownership of projects from initiation and solution or supplier selection through implementation, adoption and transition into sustainable operational support. Aurora is growing quickly, and our technology landscape and ways of working continue to evolve as we scale. This is an opportunity to deliver meaningful change in a fast-moving organisation, helping to create scalable processes, systems and operating models that enable future growth and innovation. Project delivery and governance Lead the end-to-end delivery of technology, enterprise systems and SaaS projects, from initiation and planning through to implementation, adoption and closure. Define and maintain clear project scope, outcomes, delivery plans, budgets, milestones, dependencies and success measures. Establish proportionate project governance, including effective management of risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies and decisions. Provide clear, concise and decision-focused reporting to project sponsors, governance forums and senior stakeholders. Manage changes to project scope, timelines and cost, ensuring that impacts and trade-offs are understood and agreed. Business engagement and change Build strong relationships with business stakeholders to understand their objectives, processes, requirements and constraints. Translate between business requirements and technology delivery, helping stakeholders and technical teams develop a shared understanding of the required outcomes. Facilitate workshops, planning sessions and project meetings that create clarity, ownership and timely decision-making. Ensure projects deliver the required business, process and organisational change, including appropriate readiness, communications, training and adoption activity. Maintain a strong focus on measurable business outcomes, user experience and sustainable improvements rather than technology implementation alone. Technology team coordination Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across Enterprise Systems, Architecture, Data, Information Security and IT Operations, alongside relevant business subject-matter experts. Lead project teams through a matrix structure, creating accountability and momentum without relying on direct line-management authority. Work with technical leads to ensure solutions are deliverable, secure, supportable and aligned with Aurora’s wider technology direction. Identify and actively manage cross-team dependencies, resource constraints and competing priorities. Supplier and commercial management Support technology and SaaS supplier selection, including requirements definition, evaluation and implementation planning. Manage implementation partners, vendors and other third parties against agreed scope, deliverables, timelines, costs and quality expectations. Support commercial management throughout delivery, including budget tracking, forecasting, purchase management and assessment of change requests. Transition and continuous improvement Define and coordinate appropriate handover, service readiness and post-implementation support activities. Capture lessons learned and contribute to the continued development of Aurora’s project delivery standards, tools and governance. Apply project methodologies pragmatically, using sufficient structure and control while remaining responsive to the needs of a fast-moving organisation.
