Description Dimensions /Specializations: Enterprise Architecture: Comprise the central team and drive the architecture collaboration, ensuring the IT architecture is in line with BASF's strategic goals. Work closely with different business units to ensure optimal integration and alignment. (Key) Platform Architecture: Focus on designing the Key Platforms (such as SAP, ServiceNow, Data platforms, among others), driving platform architecture and taking accountability for platform portfolio. There is one architect per Key Platform. Product Family Architecture: Focus on the product families and ensure that the IT architecture fulfils the specific requirements and needs of each product family. They partner closely with product teams to ensure smooth integration and continuous innovation. There is one architect per Product Family. Suitable next steps: Across Role Profiles: (Digital) Solution Architect, (Digital) Platform Designer, (Digital) Solution Designer, (Digital) Project Manager Within Role Profile: Develop expertise in specific domains or industries. Build leadership capabilities by leading enterprise-wide architectural initiatives. Skill Development: Starting in this role profile, the focus is on expanding technical skills and gaining a deeper understanding of specific software and workflows. Develop a broad experience of Configuration and automation of the given system and build knowledge to translate customer requirements in solutions. While developing, incorporating customer / user feedback plays a relevant role. Training the users or providing training material of the solution is also often seen as part of the role profile. With increasing technical expertise, the involvement in product development is expanded. Skills in area of consulting and collaboration, adapting based on customer feedback and supporting users in writing user requirements are in scope. In addition, user support, leveraging customer communication or conflict solving are relevant experiences in this stage. This includes, to have a proficient overview of the product’s capabilities, communication and decision paths and people skills. Independent exchanges with stakeholders to clarify requirements and workflows and sometimes managing small focus groups can also be part of this role profile. With strong developed expertise, have a deep understanding of various technologies and business requirements, develop stakeholder management capabilities. Actively engage in sharing knowledge with others. Leadership capabilities can grow over time by being involved in decision-making processes, leading projects or taking over mentorship for other colleagues. Responsibilities Design and develop the overall architecture of complex enterprise systems. Collaborate with stakeholders to define business and technical requirements. Create architectural blueprints and ensure alignment with business goals and objectives. Evaluate and select appropriate technologies , platforms, and frameworks. Guide and mentor development teams to ensure adherence to architectural standards. Monitor and assess the performance and scalability of enterprise systems. Education & Expectation Pre-experience in software development or system architecture. Strong technical skills in software design, development, and integration. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in architectural frameworks and methodologies. Ability to analyze complex business and technical requirements.
