The primary purpose of the Support Specialist Cyber Security & Risk Management is to provide operational support for security systems, vulnerability assessments, and incident response activities while collaborating with stakeholders to implement and maintain security controls. This role develops foundational expertise in cybersecurity technologies and frameworks, monitors security infrastructure, and assists in addressing emerging threats through hands-on technical support and knowledge sharing with team members. WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT? Conducts security monitoring, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing activities to identify and document security gaps across systems and applications. Develops and maintains security incident response procedures, supporting the team in investigating security events and implementing corrective measures. Analyzes security architecture designs and cloud security configurations to ensure alignment with organizational cybersecurity frameworks and compliance requirements. Maintains documentation of security controls, cryptographic implementations, and endpoint security measures while communicating findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement identity and access management controls and adapt security measures based on emerging threat intelligence. WHAT EXPERTISE WILL YOU BRING? Requires foundational knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, network security, application security, and cloud security technologies relevant to enterprise environments. Demonstrates proficiency with security tools such as penetration testing platforms, vulnerability assessment solutions, and endpoint security systems used in the organization. Exhibits ability to work effectively within technical teams, communicate security concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and actively participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives and mentoring relationships.
