About this role
We are searching for an Advocacy Manager Chemicals Policy to strengthen the BASF project team on the new Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability. You will report to the Head of the Brussels Office with the content guidance coming from the Project Management Office that we established for the Chemicals Strategy for Sustainability. The anticipated duration of the project is 3 years. As Advocacy Manager Chemicals Policy in BASF's Brussels office, your tasks will be the following: o You monitor and accompany legislative initiatives and policy trends in the area of Chemicals Policy with a focus on REACH. o You analyze these topics regarding their impact on BASF itself and our customer sectors, identify opportunities and risks, and define political messages and positions. o You support the development and implementation of advocacy plans to drive possible solutions as part of a cross-functional pan-European project team. o You proactively engage EU policymakers and other stakeholders in relevant EU political institutions and associations, e.g. by arranging and driving meetings and organizing events.
