DESCRIPTION - Responsabilities & Goals Develop and maintain an i ntegrated project plan , including project objectives, scope, schedule, resources, cost, communication, stakeholders, quality, procurement and risk. Build a working project team / organization Initiate, plan, execute, monitor, control and close respective project management processes i.e.: Facilitate work management and effective collaboration among project stakeholders Monitor, control and report on project execution (cost, schedule…) Apply effective risk management i.e. mitigating negative impact and exploiting opportunities Manage stakeholder engagement and maintain effective communication among project stakeholders Procure and manage means to execute the project, achieving project objectives within agreed constraints. MAIN AREAS OF FOCUS 10% (technical) 20% (consulting / collab.) 70% (strategy / leadership) DIMENSIONS / SPECIALIZATION Project Managers specialize in business domains, technology and/or specific project types through applying project management knowledge in respective contexts. Examples: Software Development, Infrastructure, Enterprise Resource Planning, Data Analytics, Cyber Security. There are also two dimensions possible: Program Management: Focus on management of multiple projects or project groups. Project Management Officer (PMO): Focus on administrative support tasks, facilitation and harmonization of project management activities. PRE-REQUISITES & EXPECTATIONS Project experience in other (project management) roles or assignments. Organizational awareness. Business domain knowledge. Good knowledge of project lifecycle and project management methodology in BASF.
