General Information: The Group Leader - Industrial Engineering steers the continuous improvement, development and adjustment of the Schaeffler production system for the assigned part of the organization. Your Responsibilities: Define measures and ensure their implementation to achieve high productivity of the company's core and support production processes. Lead crucial engineering processes and contribute to strategic decisions. Contribute to the development of the engineering strategy within a core organizational field. Steer alignment of capacity demand, budget and investment projects. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of SMT Process Engineers to achieve operational and professional growth goals. Assign priorities, balance workloads, and ensure adequate coverage for production, NPI, and improvement activities. Conduct performance reviews, goal setting, and coaching aligned with organizational objectives. Drive improvements in First Pass Yield (FPY), scrap, rework, and throughput across SMT lines. Track and report key process metrics to management. Your Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field. 2+ years of experience leading or mentoring technical teams. Proficiency in root cause analysis and problem‑solving methodologies. Experience with MES systems, data analytics, or automation initiatives. Background in automotive industries. Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship. Preferred: 3+ years of experience in SMT manufacturing or electronics assembly. Strong knowledge of SMT processes, materials, and equipment. Ability to read schematics, BOMs, and PCB fabrication/assembly drawings. In‑depth knowledge of IPC‑A‑610, IPC‑J‑STD‑001, and process control methods. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma (Green Belt/Black Belt), or similar certification.
