POSITION TITLE / LOCATION Weaver / Pine Mountain Plant JOB CLASSIFICATION Weaver POSITION REPORTS TO: Department Manager / Supervisor POSITION OVERVIEW The weaver is responsible for the efficient operation of a set or group of weave machines. The skill includes the constant walking and patrolling of the weave machines and repairing various kinds of machine stops that occur up to 12 hours / day. It also includes the creeling of filling packages. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Creel or Tie-In Filling. Procedure for Handling Non-conforming Filling. Inspect Fabric. Inspect Filling When Case Is Allocated to Machine. Procedure for Taking Machines In/Out of Production. Repair Filling Stop. Repair Warp Stop. Flag Machine for Technician. Smash a Breakout. Fill Out Pine Mountain Plant Daily Communication Worksheet. Replace Catch Selvage Spool. Replace Leno Spool. Pulling Barco Reports for Percent Loss Charts. Procedure for Straps and Springs on Catch Selvage Bobbins. Jacquard Weaver Stock In-Process Repair Warp Stop on Jacquard OPW Styles. Knotless Weaving for Sultex Jacquard. Warp Out Procedure – Barco Declarations Sew Seam Procedure - Barco Declarations No Filling Procedure – Barco Declarations Doff Procedure – Barco Declarations MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum education level of High School or GED. Basic written and oral communication skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Ability to use SAP SKILL REQUIREMENTS Ability to Read and Write Good Organizational Skills Ability to Comprehend verbal and written instructions Computer data entry skills Ability to walk and patrol weaving machines constantly AUTHORIZED TRAINING TIME Up to 8 weeks MACHINES, TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: Reed hook Apron Sheath Weave machine Scissors Computer monitoring system PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT USED: Ear plugs Safety Glasses PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FREQUENCY, AMOUNT, OR DESCRIPTION 1. Standing : Ability to stand while working 90 % of day Sitting : Ability to sit while performing daily tasks 10 % of day Moving : Ability to move throughout plant: 80 % of day Lifting: Ability to creel packages 10 % of day Ascending/Descending: Ability to access top of weave machine by stepping up on bar 10 % of day Push/Pull/Reach: Must have full use of arms for extension to repair machine stops and creel filling packages 10% of day Bending: Ability to bend or stoop while performing job tasks 1 0% of day Visual Acuity: Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screens. 100% of day 9.
