About this role
Job Description About the Role Aramark Refreshments is looking for a General Manager to run day-to-day operations for a single Market Center generating $5–$15M in annual revenue. Reporting to the District Manager, you'll turn district priorities into consistent execution — leading Operations Managers and the route sales, service, warehouse, and administrative teams behind our vending, micro-market, office coffee, and pantry business. You'll be measured on revenue growth, EBIT and margin, consumer experience, client retention, route and asset optimization, inventory integrity, and employee engagement. The role includes regular travel among the client and route locations your Market Center serves. This is an in-person role; remote and hybrid arrangements are not available. Compensation Data COMPENSATION: The Salaried rate for this position is $88,000.00 to 121,000.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting. BENEFITS: Aramark offers comprehensive benefit programs and services for eligible employees including medical, dental, vision, and work/life resources. Additional benefits may include retirement savings plans like 401(k) and paid days off such as parental leave and disability coverage. Coach and develop Operations Managers, set the operating routines, and hold leaders accountable for productivity, service, safety, and financial results. Partner with the District Manager on talent, performance, and succession. • Keep clients close. Serve as the visible operational contact in your Market Center — conduct site visits, resolve service issues quickly, deliver on contract requirements, and support Sales on retention and expansion. • Deliver the numbers. Execute the Market Center P&L plan by managing revenue, product cost, labor efficiency, shrink, and asset utilization. Use Aramark's reporting tools to spot variances and act on them. • Control inventory. Oversee inventory and supply chain execution across warehouse, route, and client sites — stocking levels, approved suppliers and assortments, cycle counts, shrink investigation, and records. • Drive execution. Review labor, route, service, warehouse, and asset performance on a daily and weekly cadence; remove barriers; and hold the line on service schedules, preventive maintenance, and Operational Excellence standards. • Own compliance. Maintain a safe environment and adherence to food and equipment safety, sanitation, DOT/MVR, asset security, wage and hour, and business conduct requirements, escalating significant matters to the District Manager. Qualifications What You'll Bring • 3–5 years of operational leadership experience with budget or P&L responsibility in hospitality, retail, facilities, direct store delivery, logistics, contract services, or food and beverage. Route, coffee, vending, or micro-market experience strongly preferred. • Experience overseeing managers or operational teams — hiring, coaching, accountability, and talent development. • Comfort with budgets, financial controls, and corrective action plans, plus experience executing contracts and retaining clients. • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills across all levels, from front-line associates to regional leadership; proficiency in Microsoft Office. • 5+ years of relevant experience with an Associate's degree, or 3+ years with a Bachelor's degree (Food Service, Hospitality, Facilities, or Business Management preferred). • Ability to obtain DOT certification and operate DOT-regulated vehicles where applicable, and basic mechanical aptitude or the ability to learn. Physical Requirements Work spans office, warehouse, and client-site environments and includes driving between locations. Physical demands may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment may be required. Reasonable accommodations may be made in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
