Key Purpose To proactively identify, assess, coordinate and monitor disability claimants who may benefit from early intervention, rehabilitation, recovery support and return-to-work interventions. The incumbent is responsible for accelerating intervention through the application of evidence-based case management practices, multidisciplinary stakeholder coordination, and outcome-focused rehabilitation planning. The role contributes directly to reducing disability duration, improving return-to-work outcomes, and optimising member recovery through early identification and intervention strategies. Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to Manage disability and incapacity cases through comprehensive biopsychosocial, functional, vocational and occupational assessments to identify barriers to recovery, work participation and sustainable return-to-work outcomes. Develop, implement and maintain individualised case management and rehabilitation plans, including measurable recovery goals, intervention milestones and ongoing progress reviews. Identify and prioritise claims suitable for early intervention, apply referral criteria, facilitate timely intervention activation and escalate complex cases requiring specialist support. Assess work readiness and facilitate return-to-work programmes through phased reintegration plans, workplace accommodation recommendations, vocational rehabilitation initiatives and relapse prevention strategies. Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including claimants, employers, HR representatives, treating practitioners, rehabilitation providers, medical advisors, brokers and claims consultants to achieve optimal recovery and return-to-work outcomes. Act as an advocate while balancing organisational, legislative and operational requirements to ensure fair and effective case resolution. Monitor and evaluate case progression, recovery outcomes, referral turnaround times, return-to-work success rates and claim duration trends, taking proactive action where intervention is required. Maintain accurate case records, ensure compliance with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements, support audit activities and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives. Prepare and analyse management information, case outcome data and operational reports to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improved disability management performance and service delivery. Contribute to the achievement of key business objectives, including improved referral velocity, enhanced return-to-work outcomes, reduced claim duration and adherence to governance and quality standards. Relevant Allied Health Degree Advanced experience in PowerBi Group Life/Risk Insurance experience.
