We are seeking a motivated and skilled QA Engineer II to join our Access Egress Hardware Team. As a QA Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting our CI/CD practices and ensuring the quality and reliability of our firmware and embedded systems. You will collaborate closely with Firmware Engineers, DevOps Specialists, and Product Managers, working on innovative solutions that enhance our product development lifecycle. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the testing processes of cutting-edge technology in secure access. This position will sit onsite full-time New Haven, CT. What you will be doing Drive quality strategy, quality gates, and release criteria across the development lifecycle. Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and release readiness reviews. Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and CI/CD validation pipelines. Perform firmware, embedded systems, hardware-software integration, API, regression, and release testing. Execute reliability, stress, performance, and endurance testing for connected products. Manage defects, conduct root cause analysis, and validate fixes. Develop quality metrics, dashboards, and test reports. Collaborate with Firmware Engineers, DevOps Specialists, Architects, and Product Managers. What we are looking for Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field. 3-5 years of QA, automation, firmware, embedded systems, or related experience. Strong Python and test automation framework experience. Experience with API testing, Git, Agile methodologies, Linux, and scripting. Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps. Knowledge of embedded protocols including BLE, UART, SPI, I2C, MQTT, or RS-485. Experience using Jira, Xray, Zephyr, or TestRail. Preferred Skills Master's Degree preferred. Experience with IoT, connected devices, security testing, and mentoring QA engineers. What we offer This position will be performed onsite Monday through Friday at our Berlin, CT office. The annual salary for this role is $92,000-115,000. The final pay rate offered to the successful candidate will depend on experience, skill level, and other qualifications for the role.
