About this role

Responsibilities We are recruiting for a Team Lead – Internal Quality within the Quality Department. The successful candidate will report directly to the Head of Quality Management or his/her delegate. This is a key role in our company to assist and support the continuous drive for customer satisfaction and product quality. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering on all aspects of the monitoring and auditing of the manufacturing quality carried out in the factory and on site. They will work with colleagues throughout the business and the quality function to drive the continuous improvement required to meet the current and developing standards expected of a Liebherr product. The team of internal quality will include those active within the areas of alignment and support, NDT, metrology, product auditing and the management of special processes of welding and surface protection. Responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to the following: • Consider and assist with strategic planning in internal quality development. • Coordinate the work content and execution within the team to ensure timely completion of tasks. • Supporting other team leads / areas of activity in a cooperative and supportive way. • Raise awareness around foreseen / arising issues and drive / support resolution. • Develop team knowledge, skill and training. • Guide the team to drive improvement and meet company goals. • Ensure quality, environmental and Health & Safety standards are always maintained. • Support the department and department manager in the execution of their activities. • Coordinate the monitoring, review and audit of the quality of our equipment up to and including handover to our clients. • Maintain a customer focused approach to assist and drive customer satisfaction. • Act as a point of contact where necessary for key product quality issues. • Continuously monitor and develop the internal quality related processes and change management initiatives, to ensure process improvements are effective and adopted. • Deputise for the Quality Manager as may be required from time to time. • Use the appropriate tools (e.g. SCAR’s, 8D, BSM) to facilitate root cause analysis and verify timely corrective actions for quality issues. • Develop reports and KPI from available data. • Undertake special projects as required & contribute to continuous improvement activities. • Deliver training regarding quality awareness. • Facilitate the escalation of unresolved quality issues. • Occasional travel for short periods locally and internationally may be a requirement of this position. • Any other duties as directed by management from time to time. Qualifications Requirements and Experience • A third level qualification in quality management, engineering or proven work experience in a similar role. • Experience working in an office and steel fabrication / electromechanical assembly environment. • More than 2 years’ experience in a similar role. • Process improvement experience. • Experience of team management and dynamics • Effective communicator. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Have a careful, conscientious, methodical solution based approach. • Willingness to self-learn and improve. • Excellent project management skills.
