Role Overview The Clinical Apprentice – CV will undergo a structured 1-year training program designed to develop clinical, technical, and field competencies in Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) & Counterpulsation therapies. The apprentice will support clinical application activities, product demonstrations, installations, and customer engagement under the guidance of senior specialists. Key Responsibilities Training & Learning (Initial Phase): Participate in structured classroom training on ECMO & IABP systems, accessories, and related technologies. Develop understanding of ECMO & IABP clinical protocols and therapy management. Observe live ECMO procedures and clinical workflows in hospitals. Work closely with senior specialists for hands-on learning. Clinical Support (On-the-Job Training Phase): Assist in providing on-site clinical support during ECMO cases under supervision. Support product demonstrations. Participate in installation and commissioning of ECMO & IABP systems. Assist in troubleshooting basic technical and clinical issues. Field Exposure & Customer Engagement: Accompany sales and clinical application teams for hospital visits. Support training sessions and workshops for hospital staff. Build professional relationships with healthcare stakeholders under supervision. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of clinical cases, product usage, and field activities. Ensure adherence to company quality, compliance, and safety protocols. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Perfusion Technology Strong interest in critical care and advanced life-support technologies Fresh graduates Skills & Competencies Basic understanding of perfusion technology / critical care concepts (preferred) Strong learning agility and adaptability Good communication and interpersonal skills Willingness to travel and work in hospital environments Ability to work in high-pressure clinical settings Attention to detail and documentation skills Performance & Evaluation Criteria Completion of structured training modules Demonstrated competency in clinical and technical support activities Feedback from mentors and clinical teams Quality of documentation and reporting Professional conduct and adherence to compliance standards About us With a firm belief that every person and community should have access to the best possible care, Getinge provides hospitals and life science institutions with products and solutions aiming to improve clinical results and optimize workflows.
