Join an inclusive, flexible and diverse company where you can thrive while positively contributing to transforming the world in which we live. #ShapingaWorldofTrust Job Title and Purpose The Deputy Team Leader / Chief Construction Supervisor will support the Team Leader and lead day-to-day construction supervision activities in Uzbekistan, ensuring that works are executed safely, in accordance with approved designs, contractual requirements, local construction codes, and project quality standards. Job Location Will be based in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, with project and site visits as required. Assignment duration: 15 months. Expected mobilization: January 2027. Responsibilities Construction Supervision: Lead and coordinate daily site supervision across civil, structural, architectural, and related construction activities. Deputy Team Leadership: Support the Team Leader in planning, coordination, reporting, issue resolution, and management of the national supervision team. Code Compliance: Verify compliance with applicable Uzbekistan SHNK/KMK requirements, GASN procedures, approved designs, and technical specifications. Quality Control: Oversee inspections, testing, workmanship reviews, non-conformities, and corrective actions. Progress Monitoring: Monitor contractor progress, resources, site constraints, and schedule performance and promptly escalate significant delays or risks. Site Documentation: Ensure proper maintenance of inspection records, site instructions, meeting minutes, supervision reports, and supporting evidence. Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate effectively with the Client, contractor, designers, authorities, and other project specialists. Measures of success Construction works are supervised consistently and comply with approved design, quality, safety, and Uzbekistan regulatory requirements. Site issues are identified early, documented clearly, and resolved through effective coordination with the project team. Requirements to be a successful candidate Education: University degree in Civil Engineering. Experience: At least 10 years of construction supervision experience in Uzbekistan. IFI Project Experience: Previous deputy, lead, or senior supervision role on at least one project financed by an international financing institution such as the World Bank or Asian Development Bank. Local Regulations: Strong practical knowledge of SHNK/KMK construction codes and GASN-related procedures. Languages: Proficiency in Uzbek and Russian is mandatory, together with a strong working command of English. Skills: Strong site leadership, coordination, quality control, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
