IAC, a representative of Endress+Hauser Inc., is looking for a Project Sales Engineer to join their team in the Chandler, AZ area. What is the role about? The Project Sales Engineer manages project proposals from RFQ through purchase order. As part of the inside sales team, this role reviews specifications and drawings, selects and sizes equipment from represented manufacturers, prepares accurate and competitive quotations, and partners with outside sales to help secure projects. This technical role supports a clear commercial goal: delivering the right solution to the customer, priced competitively and on time. Which tasks will you perform? Own incoming project RFQs and bid packages from receipt through submission, tracking scope, due dates and addenda. Review specifications, P&IDs, instrument data sheets, equipment schedules, and drawings to define the scope of supply. Coordinate with manufacturers' application, pricing and project teams to obtain technical selections, quotes and lead times. Build complete proposals: pricing, bills of material, clarifications, exceptions, commercial terms and submittal documentation. Prepare specification compliance reviews and clearly flag deviations, alternates and value-engineered options. Manage multiple concurrent bids and prioritize work based on bid dates, project size, and win probability. Select and size products (for example flow, level, pressure, temperature, analytical, valves or automation equipment) using manufacturer tools and engineering judgment. Answer technical questions from customers, engineers and contractors during the bid and pre-award phases. Identify competitive alternatives and upsell opportunities across our full line card. Partner with outside sales engineers on bid strategy, pricing decisions and customer relationships. Follow up on submitted proposals, track bid results and capture win/loss reasons. Support post-award handoff: order entry, submittals, approval drawings and project kickoff with the manufacturer. Keep CRM opportunity records, quote logs and project pipeline data accurate and current. Track specifications and engineering-firm activity to position our lines early in the design phase. What do we expect from you? You will have (required): Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, engineering technology, or business-related discipline or 4 years' experience in a similar field in lieu of degree Ability to travel up to 10% for customer meetings, factory trainings, and/or job walks You may have (preferred): Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role preferred. A familiarity with or willingness to learn the Process Industry – working with end users, integrators, and/or engineering firms Technical aptitude, with knowledge of instrumentation and the application of instrumentation and/or valves strongly preferred Sales acumen, with the ability to help Outside Sales Representatives grow and develop business opportunities. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and distribution software. Wholesale distribution experience and knowledge of industrial and municipal markets preferred. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Problem solving and analytical ability. Ability to learn, process, and apply technical information directly from highly technical literature. This position is primarily a desk-based role but may require occasional standing, walking, and lifting of packages or materials received within the warehouse What can you expect from Instrumentation and Controls, lLC?
