Job Duties
In conjunction with the Supervisor, Project Engineer;
• Perform a variety of more difficult technical and supportive professional engineering tasks in the field and office settings.
• Attend meetings for preliminary plan discussion, pre-construction and other departmental meetings.
• Assist with the management of the Maintenance Preservation Programs.
• Arrange and manage maintenance contracts.
• Review associated drainage issues with district personnel.
• Manage various budget accounts and contracts.
• Must perform duties in a professional and courteous manner to promote a positive image of the Road Commission for Oakland County.
• Regular and predictable onsite job attendance is an essential function of this position.
• Requires a daily schedule that supports RCOC hours of operation.
Special Experience/Education
• A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering is required.
• One to three (1-3) years of experience commensurate with the duties described above is preferred.
• A valid State of Michigan Driver License is required.

Civil Engineer I starts at $68,200.00 and Civil Engineer II starts at $81,800.00
