About the Role
AB Facility Services (ABFS) is a growing facilities services company providing commercial janitorial, HVAC, mechanical, engineering, and building maintenance services throughout the Northeast. We are looking for an Entry-Level IT Support Technician to provide day-to-day technical support to employees and help keep our office technology and systems running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career who is hands-on, dependable, customer-service oriented, and eager to learn.
Responsibilities
• Provide first-level IT support to employees for hardware, software, login, email, printer, and connectivity issues.
• Set up and configure computers, monitors, phones, printers, and other IT equipment for new and existing employees.
• Troubleshoot basic Windows, Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365, network, and connectivity issues.
• Assist with user accounts, passwords, access, and basic system permissions.
• Maintain an organized inventory of computers, equipment, and IT assets.
• Help troubleshoot issues with company applications and escalate more complex problems when needed.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding employees from an IT perspective.
• Document IT issues, solutions, and equipment changes.
• Provide occasional onsite support to employees and field/office locations as needed.
Qualifications
• 1–2 years of IT, help desk, technical support, or related experience.
• Basic understanding of Windows computers, Microsoft 365, networking, and common hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical employees.
• Reliable, organized, and comfortable working independently.
• IT education, certification, internship, or hands-on technical experience is a plus.
• CompTIA A+ or other IT certification is a plus, but not required.
