Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity to be support CDDFTs Emergency Preparedness, resilience and response service. You would be providing comprehensive and robust support to the Head of EPRR to act as an implementation lead and by doing so providing assurances to internal and external organisations that County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust (CDDFT) has appropriate emergency planning and business continuity measures in place in line with the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and other relevant legislation, standards and guidance.
You will work with senior managers across the CDDFT to develop robust policies and procedures in respect of emergency planning and business continuity and to take a leadership role by managing projects from initiation to closure and supporting the delivery of appropriate training.
Main duties of the job
The role is critical for the Trust in ensuring delivery of the Trusts EPRR strategy and compliance with the EPRR Core Standards.
The postholder will:-
Act autonomously and proactively under the Head of EPRR and the Trust Resilience Forum to deliver and maintain of the Trusts Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response
Be responsible for ensuring the success of project activities such as benefit realisation or change management
Attend health and multi-agency EPRR groups providing health liaison and input as well as administrative support.
Act in a supportive leadership role to EPRR by providing expert advice to the incident management team and ensuring preparedness for any major or business continuity incident
Participate in the risk assessment process, including identifying, quantifying and recording risks.
Prepare and maintain the Local Health Resilience Partnership (LHRP) Risk Register.
Support the Head of EPRR in the delivery of training and exercises, including exercise development and co-ordination of exercises and training courses.
Build and manage relationships within the supply chain to maximise the benefits by dovetailing plans together

Degree level qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience Postgraduate diploma level qualification or equivalent experience in relevant area Evidence of continuing Professional Development Commitment to achieve a Diploma in Health Emergency Preparedness

Emergency Planning and/or Business Continuity certificate Knowledge of NHS Englands Core Standards Member (or willing to work towards) of the BCI or equivalent Proficient and up to date specialist knowledge of Business Continuity regulations, international standards, policies and procedures In depth knowledge of ISO22301
