Rolle Medical Partnership is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join our established and expanding multidisciplinary team.
We are a 26,000-patient GMS training practice across four surgery sites in beautiful East Devon, with an experienced team of GPs and a diverse multidisciplinary workforce including Advanced Health Practitioners, ANPs, Nurse Prescribers, Paramedics, Practice Nurses, HCAs, Nursing Associates and GPAs.

Main duties of the job
As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, you will work as an autonomous practitioner providing high-quality clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients presenting with a wide range of undifferentiated and acute conditions.
You will work as part of our multidisciplinary team and will have the opportunity to develop your clinical interests and contribute to service development.

Key responsibilities
Undertake comprehensive clinical assessment of patients.
Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of acute and chronic presentations.
Provide autonomous clinical decision-making within your scope of practice.
Develop and implement appropriate treatment and management plans.
Prescribe safely and appropriately within your professional scope.
Refer patients appropriately to secondary care and other services.
Recognise and manage deteriorating or acutely unwell patients.
Provide appropriate safety-netting and follow-up.
Work collaboratively with GPs and the wider multidisciplinary team.
Support continuity and high-quality patient-centred care.
Contribute to clinical audits and quality improvement.
Participate in clinical meetings and MDT working.
Support and contribute to the education and development of colleagues where appropriate.
Maintain accurate, contemporaneous and high-quality clinical records.

Knowledge and skills Essential
Advanced clinical assessment and examination skills Ability to take a comprehensive clinical history Ability to assess, diagnose and manage patients presenting with a broad range of acute and chronic conditions Ability to formulate differential diagnoses and appropriate management plans Ability to prescribe safely and effectively within professional competence Ability to request and interpret investigations appropriately Ability to recognise red flags, deterioration and clinical emergencies and take appropriate action Ability to make appropriate referrals to primary, community and secondary care services Ability to work autonomously while recognising professional limitations and when senior clinical advice is required Strong understanding of evidence-based practice and clinical governance Excellent clinical record keeping Knowledge of safeguarding adults and children Understanding of infection prevention and control Commitment to patient safety and high-quality, person-centred care

Registered Nurse with current NMC registration Educated to Master's level in Advanced Clinical Practice, or equivalent recognised advanced practice qualification Independent Non-Medical Prescribing qualification Advanced clinical assessment, history taking and physical examination qualification/competence Evidence of ongoing continuing professional development and NMC revalidation
