Job summary
Due to the advancement and progression of our existing staff, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and compassionate Band 5 Staff Nurse to join the Nursing Team at the Assessment and Rehabilitation Centre (ARC)
The ARC is a multidisciplinary assessment and rehabilitation facility delivering high-quality, patient-centred care to support recovery, maximise independence and facilitate timely discharge from hospital services. Working within a collaborative and integrated model of care, the successful post holder will work closely alongside colleagues from Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Blackpool Council, therapy services, social care teams and other community partners to deliver the Better Care Model, ensuring patients receive seamless, coordinated care across health and social care systems.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Registered Nurse who demonstrates a positive approach to change, excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to delivering holistic care.
Please note this role will not be eligible for sponsorship as it doesn't meet the minimum salary requirements for a skilled worker visa, therefore you must have appropriate right to work in the UK or your application will not be progressed to the next stage of Recruitment.
Main duties of the job
Please note the ARC is a 24 hour 7 day a week service and there will be an expectation of internal rotation.
As a community nurse you will gain a unique set of skills. As a team we will support you to gain these skills by providing the appropriate training.
We will also provide the following to ensure your transition to a new area / team is as smooth as possible by:
Robust induction period Buddy/Mentor Preceptorship programme Protected supernumerary time Clinical 1 to 1 and supervision sessions with Clinical Supervisor In House and external training provision Professional Nurse Advocate Support as required

Administration of medications PEG care Wound care Drain management Venous & arterial leg ulcer care including doppler and compression Catheter & nephrostomy care Holistic assessments and risk bundles Observations Venepuncture
