As Chief People Officer, you will be far more than the leader of a People function. You will help shape the future of GMMH, creating culture, leadership and workforce that will enable us to deliver exceptional care and in an environment where colleagues truly thrive, and in doing so can provide the very best care for our communities.

Main duties of the job

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will play a central role in driving organisational improvement and long-term sustainability.

You will champion a culture that is ambitious, inclusive, compassionate and accountable, ensuring our values are evident in everything we do. Working across Greater Manchester and beyond, you will influence workforce strategy at place, system and regional level, helping shape the future of mental health services.

You will be an accomplished leader with a successful track record of leading large-scale workforce, organisational development and cultural transformation within a complex organisation.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Master's degree or equivalent in relevant subject.

Experience & Knowledge Essential

Substantial experience of leading a complex People function, spanning HR and OD services. A comprehensive understanding of the NHS landscape, including Integrated Care Boards & Systems, and the role that the People agenda plays in building capacity, capability and culture to ensure high quality patient care. Significant experience of operating and leading at a Board or deputy level in a complex organisation.
