THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT UNTIL 31ST MARCH 2027 DUE TO FUNDING.

We areseeking an experienced and dynamic leader to head a team of policy specialists and drive the successful delivery of an ambitious programme of work. This role will lead policy development, oversee complex programmes and projects, and ensure delivery against organisational priorities.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record in programme and project management, alongside significant experience of leading and developing high-performing teams. They will be an inspiring leader, able to motivate, support and empower others while managing competing priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes.

A key aspect of the role will be championing a positive, inclusive and high-performing culture, fostering collaboration, innovation and continuous improvement across the team.

As part of this role, there will be a requirement to work 1 days per month from our Cardiff office. Additional attendance may be required, for example, for key meetings, training, events, or to support service delivery. Applicants should ensure they are able to meet this requirement. Person Specification

Experience Essential

Extensive management experience in a senior role including staff management Experience of successfully leading and implementing projects / programmes at a national level. Experience of successfully leading and implementing project driven change management

Skills & Abilities Essential

Ability to organise, plan and prioritise a complex strategic programme to meet appropriate deadlines typically involving other disciplines/organisations Ability to work closely with people in other disciplines and form professional working relationships Ability to communicate effectively across different levels of an organisation Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members and other staff Can demonstrate initiative, creativity, flexibility and a personal ethos of continuous improvement
