About this role

Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive practice team at Nightingale House Surgery.

This is an exciting opportunity for a GP who is looking for a well-supported role within a forward-thinking practice that values high-quality patient care, continuity and clinician wellbeing.

We are open to applications from both experienced GPs and GPs who are recently qualified.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centred general medical services to our registered practice population.

The role will include:

Conducting face-to-face and telephone consultations

Managing acute, chronic and complex presentations

Providing appropriate clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment

Prescribing safely and effectively

Reviewing and managing patients with long-term conditions

Making appropriate referrals and coordinating care with secondary and community services

Supporting patients with preventative healthcare and health promotion

Working collaboratively with our wider multidisciplinary team

Participating in clinical meetings and practice development

Maintaining accurate and contemporaneous clinical records

Contributing to the ongoing improvement of quality and patient safety within the practice

We encourage our GPs to develop areas of special interest and are keen to support professional development wherever possible.

Nightingale House Surgery is a friendly and established GP practice serving approximately 6,000 patients in Enfield.

Undertake face-to-face and telephone consultations with patients.

Assess, diagnose and manage a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions.

Provide appropriate clinical treatment, prescribing and onward referral where required.

Manage patients with long-term conditions and complex healthcare needs.

Provide appropriate preventative healthcare, health promotion and patient education.

Maintain accurate, contemporaneous and high-quality clinical records.

Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, pharmacists and other members of the multidisciplinary team.

Participate in clinical meetings and contribute to effective communication within the practice.

Contribute to clinical governance, significant event reviews, audits and quality improvement activities where appropriate.

Work within professional, ethical and legal standards and maintain appropriate continuing professional development.

Support the practice in delivering safe, effective and high-quality patient care.

Person Specification

Qualifications Essential

MBBS or equivalent Full GMC registration Inclusion on the NHS England Medical Performers List MRCGP or equivalent Appropriate medical indemnity Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care Commitment to clinical governance and continuing professional development

Desirable

Experience working in UK general practice Experience of QOF, clinical audits and quality improvement Additional qualifications or special interests relevant to general practice Experience of working within a multidisciplinary primary care team
