Job summary
We are seeking an experienced, innovative and forward-thinking Business Manager to join our team. You will report to the partners and be responsible for the strategic, operational and financial management of the practice.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Planning: Assisting partners with long-term business development plans to meet the practices strategic vision and business objectives, and developing external relationships eg with local PCNs, ICB, neighbourhood teams, PPG etc Financial management: Maximising income opportunities and reducing expenditure, overseeing NHS contract income, managing QoF targets and leading change to ensure the ongoing and future success of the practice utilising modern ways of working Operational leadership: Provide overall leadership for the day-to-day operational management of the practice, ensuring the delivery of excellent patient services and continually work towards improving service delivery Workforce & Organisational Development: Lead in all aspects of HR management, including recruitment, staff retention and performance management ensuring the wellbeing of an effective workforce, compliance with training requirements and compliance with all aspects of employment law Governance & Compliance: Oversee adherence to Care Quality Commission (CQC) standards, health and safety regulations, and data protection (GDPR/DSPT) requirements. Lead investigations relating to complaints, significant events and learning reviews
About us
We provide care for approximately 11,000 patients from modern, purpose-built premises in Chesham. We are a partnership-based training practice with six partners. We have a strong clinical team comprising of a salaried GP, GP trainee and our nursing team (including an ANP, Practice Nurses, Nursing Associate, HCA and GP Assistant). We also have a Pharmacist and Pharmacy Technician, Physio and Social Prescriber. The clinical teams are supported by our excellent administrative and reception teams.

Person Specification
Experience Essential
Senior management experience in a healthcare setting, ideally primary care, with strong organisational skills Strong financial, budgeting and analytical skills Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Familiarity with NHS primary care systems and regulations
