Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Tissue Viability Specialist Nursing Service in Brent for an enthusiastic and motivated nurse to join our expanding team as a Developmental Band 7 Tissue Viability Specialist Nurse (TVNS).
This post offers an excellent development opportunity for an experienced Band 6 Tissue Viability Specialist Nurse who is ready to progress towards a Band 7 role. The successful candidate will be supported through a structured development pathway, enabling them to transition confidently into a Band 7 position while further developing their specialist clinical, leadership and service improvement skills.
The post holder will provide expert assessment, advice and support in the management of complex wounds and tissue viability issues across community services. They will work as an autonomous practitioner within the community while collaborating closely with colleagues across the Outer North West Division Tissue Viability Team, including the Brent and Harrow services, as well as the wider multidisciplinary team.
We are seeking an individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality, patient-centred care and committed to improving patient outcomes and experience. The successful candidate will play an active role in supporting continuous service improvement, promoting evidence-based practice and contributing to service development initiatives.
Main duties of the job
You will receive regular clinical supervision and mentorship from the Tissue Viability Service Lead, alongside access to specialist training, professional development opportunities, team meetings and peer support. This role offers an excellent opportunity to further develop advanced clinical skills, leadership capabilities and expertise in tissue viability within a supportive and progressive team environment.
We require a Tissue Viability Specialist Nurse with experience of working with adults managing complex wounds. You must be keen to learn and to develop your assessment and treatment skills and knowledge. You must be well organised with good communication skills. Being a team player who can work as part of a multidisciplinary team is also essential to this role as well operate autonomously.
