Job summary
The Older People Services of South West London and St George's Mental Health NHS Trust are responsible for the provision of Mental Health Services to people over the age of 70 in Wandsworth, Merton, Sutton, Kingston and Richmond, providing community based and in-patient services for this group of clients.
The Wandsworth Older People Services comprises of 5 sub-teams namely, the Memory Assessment Service (MAS), Recovery and Support Team (RST) the Behaviour and Communication Support services (BACSS) and the Community Behaviour and Communication Support services (CBACSS) and the Dementia Clinical Nurse Specialist Service (DCNS).
The RST is a multi-disciplinary team providing and supporting patients with enduring mental health difficulties.
The Wandsworth MAS provides specialist outpatient and community-based assessments, treatments, advice and consultation services to clients and their families/carers experiencing memory/cognitive difficulties.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support across Wandsworth Older People Services. Duties include referral processing, RiO administration, appointment management, correspondence processing, reporting, diary management and liaison with patients, carers, GPs and partner agencies.
Key Result Areas
o Ensure RiO and other systems are accurate and up to date and support data quality monitoring.
o Review routine reports and escalate data quality issues where identified.
o Process referrals efficiently, obtain additional information from GPs and external agencies and escalate urgent referrals.
o Act as first point of contact for patients, carers and professionals ensuring enquiries are managed courteously and efficiently.
o Support multidisciplinary meetings through preparation of agendas, papers, minute taking and follow up actions.

Job description Job responsibilities
Coordinate support services, stationery ordering and administrative KPI requirements.
Provide photocopying, scanning, emailing and administrative support to clinicians and managers.
Provide comprehensive secretarial support to clinicians, consultants and managers across Older People Services.
Prepare, type and distribute assessment letters, reports, discharge summaries and other correspondence.
Maintain electronic and paper filing systems and ensure records are updated appropriately.
Open, distribute and process incoming correspondence.
Undertake correspondence processing and typing in line with service requirements
