Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with either a professional healthcare registration or significant experience in healthcare simulation to join the UHNM Simulation Team at the County Postgraduate Centre. The successful candidate will join a dedicated team delivering high-quality simulation-based education that develops clinical capability, humas factors skills, systems thinking and a culture of safer patient care across UHNM.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will predominantly be based at the County Hospital Postgraduate Medical Centre in Stafford, delivering simulation activities within the purpose-built Extended Reality Lab (ERL), an immersive learning environment that recreates realistic clinical settings through the projection of 360 degree video across four walls. Working under the direction of the Senior Simulation Educator, the post holder will deliver and evaluate simulation-based education for Foundation Doctors, Resident Doctors both training and non-training, Nurses, Allied Health Professionals and other multidisciplinary staff groups.

Job description Job responsibilities
The role requires independent facilitation of simulation scenarios and learner-centred debriefing. Candidates should have experience in teaching, facilitation and feedback or demonstrate the potential and commitment to develop these skills. The post holder will also work closely with the Simulation Technicians to support the operation, maintenance and development of the simulation facilities, including high-fidelity patent simulators, audiovisual systems and associated education technologies. Candidates who do not already possess these technical skills will be expected to develop competence in these areas.

Qualifications Essential
Current registration with a UK healthcare professional regulatory body (e.g. GMC, NMC, HCPC, GPhC) or a minimum of 5 years' experience working in healthcare simulation-based education Ability to study at postgraduate level
Desirable
Postgraduate qualification in education, healthcare simulation, healthcare practice or a related discipline relevant to the role.
knowledge, Skills, Training & Experienc Essential
Evidence of teaching, training, facilitation or practice-based education Minimum of 3 years' post-registration experience as a registered healthcare professional or a minimum of 5 years' substantive experience in healthcare simulation-based education Ability to independently facilitate learning and provide constructive feedback
