You will inspire and develop the staff team, oversee service quality and build effective partnerships with the people we support, families, commissioners and health and social care professionals.

Salary: £47,000 to £57,000 (incremental scale)

Location: Loftus Locality

We are looking for someone who has the following skills and qualities:

Ability to lead a large team of staff to provide excellent person-centred support. Proficient in the use of Positive Behavioural Support. Demonstrates innovation and creativity. Has a focus on quality to improve services. Resilience. This is a highly rewarding and challenging role. You will lead a staff team to deliver excellent support that enables people to develop, grow and achieve positive outcomes.

Positive Behaviour Support is central to the PIPS model. Applicants must therefore be able to demonstrate competence in applying PBS to improve quality of life and support positive outcomes.

Candidates must hold either an RNLD, Social Work or equivalent professional qualification, or a Level 5 qualification in Leadership for Health and Social Care together with an additional PBS qualification.

Qualifications Essential

- Professional Qualification RNLD - Positive Behavioural Support Qualification

- Student Nurse Mentorship - Diploma in Leadership Health & Social Care Level 5

Experience Essential

- Experience in a keyworker or primary nurse role - Working within the Positive Behavioural Support approach - Experience providing supervision and leading a staff team

Knowledge, Skills & Understanding Essential

- A good understanding of the CQC and KLOE - Understanding of quality assurance and audit - Ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals - Managing Budgets - Knowledge of the current national agenda in relation to people with learning disabilities - To understand the principles of equality and diversity

- To have natural leadership attributes, to want to achieve high standards - Ability to work under own initiative and be organised - Demonstrate innovation and creativity - Have a good Self Awareness and are able to accept feedback from service users, colleagues and managers. - To enjoy the opportunity to develop and mentor others - Ability to work in a calm, patient and tolerant manner when working in stressful situations. - Able to work shifts covering 24 hours 7 days a week 365 days of the year
