Job summary
Bluebell Surgery are looking to recruit a Branch Team Leader who will join the team on a part-time basis for 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The specific working hours each day can be discussed and agreed with the successful candidate, subject to the operational needs of the practice.
The role will see you provide day-to-day administrative oversight and support to the team working at the branch site, acting as the main point of contact for the administrative team and supporting effective communication between the branch and Mill Road Surgery.
Main duties of the job
Provide day-to-day administrative oversight and support to the Bluebell Surgery team, acting as a point of contact for the administrative staff members and supporting effective communication across the wider practice team. Support the team with general workload management, helping to ensure that day-to-day administrative tasks are appropriately prioritised and completed. Act as a link between the branch site, Mill Road Surgery and wider management team, ensuring that relevant information, queries and issues are communicated appropriately. Support the implementation and integration of new practice policies, procedures and working processes, helping colleagues understand and adopt changes and escalating queries where further clarification is required. Identify issues affecting the smooth running of the branch and escalate these to the Operations Manager or appropriate member of the management team when necessary. Maintain regular communication with the Operations Manager, including daily/weekly check-ins to provide updates on workload, staffing issues, outstanding tasks and any concerns arising at the branch. Support the Operations Manager with general administrative and reporting tasks across both the main surgery and branch site. Monitor general administrative workflows and highlight any recurring issues, bottlenecks or areas where additional support may be required. Provide practical support to colleagues within the branch and Mill Road Surgery.

Bluebell Surgery is part of the North Colchester PCN. The PCN comprises of Mill Road Surgery, Winstree Road Surgery, Highwoods Surgery, Lawford Surgery and Bluebell Surgery. The PCN cares for approx 42,000 patients.Highwoods Surgery and Mill Road Surgery are learning organisations where trainee doctors and nurses regularly work alongside the PCN team.
Bluebell Surgery serves a patient population of 3700 and operates from a purpose built premises. We use SystmOne clinical system and are rated Good with CQC. We aim to provide a high standard of medical care and are always fully committed to patient needs.
