Main duties of the job
As a key member of our Cardiology Department, you will provide specialist cardiac rhythm management services, including device implantation, programming and follow-up, helping to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.
Key responsibilities include:
o Independently managing follow-up of all Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) devices, including remote monitoring, and reprogramming devices in line with national and local guidelines.
o Supporting implantation of pacemakers (including leadless and conduction system pacing), ICDs (including S-ICDs) and CRT devices.
o Assisting the CRM Lead Cardiac Physiologist with service development and daily operations, including stock management, quality assurance, data submission and manufacturer advisories.
o Providing training and support to junior colleagues and the wider multidisciplinary team.
o Participating in coronary angiography and intervention procedures, including Primary PCI services and pacemaker implantation.
o Contributing to non-invasive cardiac investigations, including exercise testing, ambulatory monitoring and ECG services.
o Maintaining professional development by keeping up to date with emerging evidence, technology and national guidance, with support from the Trust.

About You:
To thrive in this role, you will need to be:
Fully Qualified and Accredited: BHRS (British Heart Rhythm Society), IBHRE (International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners) or EHRA (European Heart Rhythm Association) accreditation is essential.
Highly Experienced in CRM: Demonstrable expertise in device implantation, follow-up, and troubleshooting.

Person Specification
Education, qualification and training Essential
Evidence of formal training/qualifications equivalent to Healthcare Scientist Practitioner degree level; including BSc (Hons) Clinical Physiology BHRS/IBHRE/EHRA certification ILS certification
Desirable
RCCP/AHCS registration Demonstration of academic interest
Experience Essential
Significant independent CRM device experience including implant with autonomous reporting Significant experience across a broad range of cardiac diagnostic and intervention procedures Evidence of recent continued professional development
