Job Requirements Position Summary The Senior Benefits Analyst supports the design, administration, and regulatory compliance of the organization’s benefits programs, including deferred compensation, health and welfare, voluntary benefits, spending accounts, and leaves of absence. This role serves as a subject matter expert on plan design and compliance (ERISA, IRC, ACA, FMLA, and related state/federal laws), partnering with legal, finance, payroll, IT, and external vendors to ensure programs are administered accurately, competitively, and in accordance with applicable law. Minimum Requirements Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Experience
• 5+ years of progressive administration experience in benefits administration • Strong working knowledge of ERISA, ACA, Cobra, HIPAA, FMLA, and ADA • Advanced Excel skills; HRIS/benefits administration platform experience • Strong analytical, project management, and vendor management skills • High discretion in handling confidential compensation and health data License/Registration/Certifications

• CEBS, CBP, SPHR/PHR, or similar certification Core Job Responsibilities Benefits Administration
• Support annual enrollment and self-funded insured medical and dental plan administration. • Serve as an escalation point for complex employee benefits questions and claims issues. • Administer spending account programs, including funding, testing, and compliance. • Support the design and evaluation of health and welfare plan offerings, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary benefits. • Analyze benefits data and market trends and prepare reports for leadership. • Assist with vendor selection, RFPs, and renewals. • Assist with special projects and process improvements across benefit programs. Deferred Compensation
• Administer qualified and non-qualified deferred compensation plans, including election timing, distribution processing, and annual plan documentation review. • Oversee day-to-day administration of 401(k) and 457(b) plans, including eligibility, vesting, contribution limits, and nondiscrimination testing. • Manage annual audits, Form 5500 filings and required plan disclosures. • Serve as primary liaison with recordkeepers, trustees and auditors. • Monitor legislative and regulatory changes affecting deferred compensation and recommend plan amendments. • Ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, Cobra, and Section 125 requirements. • Assist in the preparation of required regulatory reports (ACA 1094/1095-C, Form 5500, nondiscrimination testing). • Maintain plan documents, SPDs, amendments, and compliance calendars across all benefit programs. • Support leave of absence compliance, including FMLA, ADA, and state leave programs.
