Job Requirements **Job Title:** Patient Safety Companion **Job Type:** PRN (Pro Re Nata / As Needed) **Job Description:** We are seeking a compassionate and attentive Patient Safety Companion to join our healthcare team on a PRN basis. The Patient Safety Companion plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients by providing continuous observation and support, preventing harm, and promoting a secure environment. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide one-on-one observation and companionship to patients requiring enhanced safety measures. - Monitor patient behavior and report any changes or concerns promptly to the healthcare team. - Assist patients with mobility and basic needs as appropriate, ensuring their comfort and dignity. - Maintain a safe environment by identifying and mitigating potential safety risks. - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to support patient care plans. - Document observations and activities accurately in accordance with facility policies. **Qualifications:** - High school diploma or equivalent. - Previous experience in a healthcare or patient care setting preferred. - Strong observational skills and attention to detail. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations. - Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety.
