EHR Document Management Technician Job Type: ContractExperience Level: Entry Level Position Overview We are seeking an EHR Document Management Technician to support a high-volume document processing initiative within a healthcare environment. This role is responsible for reviewing, identifying, and routing incoming medical documents to the appropriate teams within the electronic health record (EHR) system. The ideal candidate will have prior healthcare experience and a strong understanding of medical records, patient documentation, and healthcare workflows. Key Responsibilities

• Review and process batches of incoming healthcare documents within a document management system. • Identify document types and determine the appropriate routing path based on established processing rules. • Accurately assign and transfer documents into the electronic medical record (EMR) system. • Triage incoming faxed records, physician documentation, referrals, workers' compensation forms, consult notes, and other medical records. • Route documents to the appropriate departments for follow-up, provider signatures, record attachment, or further review. • Maintain accuracy and productivity standards while managing high-volume document workloads. • Verify patient information and ensure documentation is correctly associated with the appropriate medical record. • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to resolve document-related issues and ensure timely processing. Required Qualifications

• Previous healthcare experience in one of the following areas: • Medical Receptionist • Patient Scheduler • Medical Assistant • Medical Records Clerk • Other healthcare administrative support roles

• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent customer service and communication skills. • Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn new systems quickly. Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Hyland OnBase or other document management systems. • Prior experience handling medical records, referrals, authorizations, or document imaging workflows. • Knowledge of healthcare terminology and patient documentation processes. Key Skills

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Louisville, KY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.00/hr.
