The organization is currently undertaking a strategic merchandising transformation initiative focused on standardizing core merchandising capabilities across its retail brands.As part of this initiative, the company has selected NCR Retalix HQ Merchandising ERP as its future-state merchandising platform. The solution is already established within one retail banner, and the organization is preparing for a broader implementation and migration effort across additional business units.Position Summary:Our client is seeking an experienced NCR Retalix HQ Merchandising Subject Matter Expert to serve as a trusted advisor and product expert during a large-scale merchandising transformation program.This consultant will support an approximately 12-month initiative focused on discovery, requirements gathering, current-state assessments, roadmap planning, and migration preparation as additional business units transition to the NCR Retalix HQ Merchandising ERP platform.The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in NCR Retalix merchandising solutions and understand how retail merchandising systems support item lifecycle management, pricing, promotions, category management, vendor management, and broader retail operations.This role is not intended for a system administrator. The selected consultant will act as the internal product champion, providing strategic guidance, best practices, and subject matter expertise while partnering closely with implementation teams and solution architects throughout the engagement.ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary NCR Retalix HQ Merchandising Subject Matter Expert.Act as the internal champion for the merchandising ERP transformation initiative.Participate in current-state assessments and discovery workshops.Gather, document, and validate business and technical requirements.Evaluate existing merchandising processes, workflows, and integrations.Provide recommendations on platform capabilities, configuration, and industry best practices.Assist in developing future-state operating models and implementation roadmaps.Partner with merchandising, operations, technology, and executive stakeholders.Collaborate closely with architects, consultants, and implementation teams.Identify risks, gaps, dependencies, and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.Translate business requirements into actionable recommendations and solution direction.Help drive organizational alignment and adoption across multiple business units.Required QualificationsStrong expertise with NCR Retalix HQ Merchandising solutions.Experience supporting retail merchandising systems in enterprise retail environments.Experience in retail ERP implementations, migrations, or transformation initiatives.Experience facilitating discovery sessions and requirements gathering activities.Ability to provide strategic guidance as a Product Owner, Platform Lead, or Subject Matter Expert.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Experience working across both business and technical teams.Preferred QualificationsGrocery retail experienceExperience supporting multi-banner retail organizations.NCR Category Analyzer experience.Exposure to BR Data and/or SymphonyAI merchandising platforms.Experience with retail pricing, promotions, and category management functions.Prior consulting or advisory experience supporting enterprise technology transformation initiatives.SkillsNCR Retalix HQ MerchandisingRetalix SoftwareRetail Merchandising SystemsRetail ERPCategory ManagementPricing & PromotionsVendor ManagementRetail Operations Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Carson, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $100.00 - $150.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
