Job Title: CNC MachinistJob DescriptionThe CNC Machinist sets up, operates, and troubleshoots CNC machining centers to manufacture custom electrical insulation and engineered material components. This role works from blueprints and work order instructions to produce precision parts that consistently meet strict quality and tolerance requirements.Responsibilities
• Set up CNC machining centers for production runs, including selecting tooling, configuring fixtures, and loading programs. • Operate CNC machines to manufacture custom electrical insulation and engineered material components according to specifications. • Perform changeovers efficiently between different jobs, ensuring minimal downtime and accurate setup for each new part. • Review and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine machining requirements and production sequences. • Monitor machine operations and troubleshoot issues to maintain product quality and equipment performance. • Conduct inspections of machined parts using appropriate measurement tools to verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall quality. • Adjust machine settings and tooling as needed to correct deviations and maintain strict tolerance requirements. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following shop safety procedures and best practices. • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and communicate any issues affecting quality or throughput. • Assist with basic CNC programming or program edits to optimize machining processes and improve efficiency. Essential Skills
• Hands-on experience setting up and operating CNC machining centers. • Ability to perform machine changeovers and set ups for different parts and jobs. • Strong machine operation skills, including monitoring and adjusting machining parameters. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and work order instructions. • Experience with machining operations, including working to tight tolerances and strict quality standards. • Ability to perform inspections of machined parts to ensure compliance with specifications. • Haas CNC machine experience. • CNC programming experience or the ability to make program edits at the machine. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Familiarity with custom electrical insulation and engineered material components manufacturing is a plus. • Comfort working in a busy shop environment with varying noise levels. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, precise parts. • Ability to work effectively as part of a small, team-oriented environment. • Good problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving machining issues. Team members are exposed to sounds and noise levels that can be distracting, and should be comfortable working in an active, production-focused facility. Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Milwaukee, WI. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $34.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
