About this role

Job Title: Production AssociateJob DescriptionThe Production Associate operates equipment and supports manufacturing processes to produce high-quality conveyor belting, urethane sheeting, and molded products. This role involves precise measuring and cutting, material handling, and assisting with a variety of production tasks in a climate-controlled, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities • Utilize production equipment to accurately cut conveyor belting and sheeting to specified sizes. • Oversee the process of creating urethane sheeting, belting, and molded products for a variety of applications. • Set up production lines correctly prior to each run, ensuring proper configuration and readiness. • Ratio and mix proper components to achieve correct application specifications, including color and size. • Load material into ovens to prepare products for treatment, curing, and shaping. • Operate a forklift to move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods throughout the facility as needed. • Assist with various general production and machine operation tasks to support overall workflow. • Use a tape measure and other basic tools to verify dimensions and maintain product quality. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area throughout the duration of the shift. • Work on your feet for the duration of the shift and handle physical tasks such as lifting materials. • Collaborate with team members and be open to cross-training on multiple jobs throughout the facility. Essential Skills • Ability to read and accurately use a tape measure. • Mechanically inclined and comfortable working with hands and basic tools. • Capability to work on feet for the duration of the shift. • Ability to lift 50+ lbs safely and repeatedly as part of daily tasks. • Willingness to be cross-trained and learn various jobs throughout the facility. • Comfort working in a production, general labor, or general manufacturing environment. • Ability to perform machine operation tasks and follow standard operating procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Previous forklift or material handling experience preferred. • Previous experience working with plastic or rubber materials preferred. • Experience with extrusion processes or related manufacturing operations is a plus. • Background in machine operating and loading materials in a production setting is beneficial. Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a climate-controlled production facility with a very friendly and laid-back atmosphere. The team is small, with around 14 employees, fostering close collaboration and strong communication. The position is on first shift, typically 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., with some flexibility on start time. The team occasionally works overtime, but most overtime is not mandatory. Work involves standing for the duration of the shift, lifting materials, operating production equipment, and using forklifts and other material-handling tools in a clean, organized manufacturing environment. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Barberton, OH. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
