About this role

Job Title: Robot OperatorJob DescriptionAs a Robot Operator, you will work in a production and lab environment to run pre-defined test scenarios on a humanoid robot, primarily by operating simple controls, recording results, and documenting any issues. You will follow established protocols to maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace while collaborating closely with a goal-driven team of engineers in an early-stage AI and robotics setting. Responsibilities • Operate a humanoid robot by following pre-defined test scenarios, primarily using button-based controls and non-technical interfaces. • Accurately record test results and maintain clear, organized data entry logs. • Document issues, anomalies, and unexpected behavior encountered during testing in a detailed and structured manner. • Communicate test findings and observed issues clearly to engineers and other team members. • Follow established lab protocols and procedures to maintain a safe and clean production and lab environment. • Perform repetitive test executions while staying focused, attentive, and on task. • Assist with basic troubleshooting steps as directed when tests do not run as expected. • Use computer systems and basic software tools to manage test cases, input data, and track progress. • Collaborate with a goal-driven engineering team to support continuous improvement of testing processes and robot performance. Essential Skills • Ability to operate computer systems confidently for data entry and test execution. • Familiarity with electronics and computer systems sufficient to understand basic test setups and interfaces. • Experience executing tests in a production, lab, or similar environment. • Sound judgment and the ability to follow procedures accurately and consistently. • Strong attentiveness to detail when recording results and documenting issues. • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal. • Comfort with repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and accuracy. • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar productivity tools. • Interest in and eagerness to work in the AI and robotics space. Additional Skills & Qualifications • Exposure to robotics or automated systems in a lab or production setting. • General troubleshooting mindset and ability to identify and describe issues clearly. • Experience working in a structured testing or quality assurance environment. • Ability to collaborate closely with engineers and technical teams. • Strong organizational skills for managing test documentation and records. You will use computers, basic software tools such as Microsoft Office, and interfaces connected to electronics and robotic systems. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Jose, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $26.00 - $29.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
