Job Title: Cylinder TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Cylinder Technician disassembles, evaluates, and reassembles hydraulic cylinders in a shop environment, ensuring products are properly tested before shipment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, consistent physical capability to lift 50 pounds throughout the day, and the ability to work accurately with measuring tools while maintaining an organized work area.Responsibilities
• Disassemble hydraulic cylinders safely and efficiently, following established procedures. • Evaluate cylinder components to determine repair, replacement, or rework needs. • Reassemble hydraulic cylinders, ensuring all parts are correctly installed and secured. • Test hydraulic products and cylinders before shipment to verify proper operation and quality. • Gather and prepare parts, components, and finished products for shipment after work is completed. • Identify issues such as broken parts, missing parts, incorrect materials, or missed tooling and propose practical solutions. • Use hand tools and mechanical assembly techniques to perform repairs and rebuilds. • Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area in the hydraulic shop. • Follow safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment. • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively about job status, issues, and needs. Essential Skills
• At least 1 year of experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude in a hands-on environment. • Strong mechanical aptitude, particularly with mechanical assembly and repair work. • Ability to lift 50 pounds repetitively throughout the workday. • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. • Basic understanding of hydraulics and hydraulic cylinders. • Proficient use of hand tools for mechanical assembly and disassembly. • Good organizational skills to manage parts, tools, and work orders. • Reliable attendance and a positive, cooperative attitude. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Freedom, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
