Job Title: Production AssociateJob DescriptionThe Production Associate supports manufacturing operations by loading and unloading materials, assisting machine operators, and sorting small, lightweight parts into crates. This role plays a key part in keeping production lines running smoothly, ensuring parts are handled efficiently and safely, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. While individual parts are small, crates can become heavy once full, so safe material handling is essential.Responsibilities
• Load and unload parts and materials to support continuous production flow. • Assist machine operators with daily production activities, including feeding parts into machines and removing finished components. • Sort small, lightweight parts into designated crates and containers according to production requirements. • Handle full crates that may be heavy, using safe lifting techniques and appropriate equipment when needed. • Perform basic assembly tasks as directed to support production orders. • Operate production and packaging equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures. • Use forklifts and other material-handling equipment when required to move parts and crates safely. • Inspect parts and finished products for visible defects and quality issues, following inspection guidelines. • Use hand tools and follow blueprints or work instructions as needed for production and assembly tasks. • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety rules and wearing required protective equipment. • Follow scheduling and overtime requirements, including coming in early or staying late as requested to meet production demands. Work EnvironmentThis is a shift-based production environment with three primary schedules: first shift runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:15 p.m ($16.50/hr)., second shift from 3:00 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. ($17.25/hr), and third shift from 11:00 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. ($17.25/hr). Overtime is required, and scheduling flexibility is important, as you may be asked to come in early or stay late to meet production demands. The work takes place on a manufacturing floor where you handle small parts and heavier crates, operate production equipment, and use forklifts and hand tools. Safety is a priority, and steel-toe footwear and safety glasses are required attire while on the production floor. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, KY. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.50 - $17.25/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
