2nd Shift Forklift OperatorJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and safety-oriented Forklift Operator for our paper and cardboard recycling center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a Sit Down Lift and Clamp Lift, along with general labor duties including cleaning and sweeping. This role involves 70% on forklift operation and 30% off forklift tasks. Training will be provided for Clamp Truck and Skid Steer operations.Responsibilities
• Operate Sit Down Forklift and Clamp Forklift efficiently and safely. • Clean and maintain the facility, including sweeping paper and general housekeeping duties. • Load and unload paper bails using forklift equipment. • Assist with inventory management and material handling. • Adhere to all OSHA and company safety policies. • Participate in team activities and support general labor tasks. Essential Skills
• Experience with forklift operation, specifically Sit Down and Clamp Forklifts. • Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. • Proficiency in operating heavy equipment safely. • Commitment to safety and coachability. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in manufacturing and construction is advantageous. • Team player with a positive attitude. • Flexibility to work various shifts and perform general labor tasks. Work EnvironmentThis position is on the 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM - 12 AM, with occasional work on Saturdays. The environment is non-climate controlled, dusty, and can be overwhelming with paper shreds, requiring adaptability and resilience. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olive Branch, MS. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
