Job Title: Manufacturing Associate Job DescriptionThe Manufacturing Associate supports production by working with small rubber parts to create high-quality seals used primarily in aerospace applications. This role involves trimming, inspecting, painting, molding, and operating machinery in a clean, safe, and organized manufacturing environment.Responsibilities
• Trim excess rubber from parts to meet precise specifications and quality standards. • Inspect parts carefully for defects and ensure only conforming products move forward in the process. • Paint grooves in parts with glue using small brushes, applying adhesives accurately and neatly. • Perform molding operations, including preparing materials, loading molds, and monitoring cycles. • Operate production machinery safely and efficiently according to work instructions and training. • Handle and assemble small parts with consistent accuracy and attention to detail. • Use basic hand tools to perform production tasks, adjustments, and part preparation. • Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and product quality. • Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while working around machinery and production equipment. • Work collaboratively with team members across production areas to meet daily output and quality goals. Essential Skills
• At least 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred. • Strong attention to detail when working with small parts and inspecting components. • Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time during the shift. • Capability to operate machinery safely and follow standard operating procedures. • Comfort working with small parts in a general production or manufacturing environment. • Ability to use basic hand tools in a production setting. • Reliability and consistency in following instructions and meeting production expectations. Additional Skills & Qualifications
• Experience in general labor, general production, or small parts assembly. • Familiarity with molding processes or rubber manufacturing is a plus. • Previous experience in a machine shop, bonding, or warehouse environment is beneficial. • Comfort working in a structured, process-driven manufacturing operation. The site includes a machine shop, molding areas, bonding operations with machine presses, and warehouse spaces. The work environment is very safe and clean, with clear processes and organized production areas. There are multiple shifts available, with 2 to potentially 3 openings on the first shift, which runs from 5:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Team sizes vary by shift, with a larger team on first shift and smaller teams on second and third shifts. Associates may stand or sit for long periods while operating machinery, working with small parts, and using hand tools in a structured production setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
