Your Impact As an Engineer, Production Planning, you'll help translate Boddington's medium-term mine plan into practical, executable weekly and monthly plans that support safe and efficient production. Working closely with Short Term Planning, Mine Operations and multidisciplinary technical teams, you'll develop fit-for-purpose designs, identify potential constraints and help ensure critical mine activities are ready for execution. As Part of Our Team, You Will
• Translate critical areas identified through Medium Term Planning into detailed job packs and designs for Short Term Planning and Mine Operations. • Develop practical mine designs for infrastructure, dumps and stockpiles, road maintenance, ramps and haul roads in alignment with Life of Mine requirements and site standards. • Provide timely planning and design support to the weekly planning team, producing practical designs and identifying potential constraints and mitigation strategies to support safe and efficient execution. • Partner with Mine Operations and Maintenance, Process Operations and Maintenance, FMS, Geology, Survey and Geotechnical teams to gather input, communicate plans and support effective execution. • Provide coverage across the planning team as required, including reviewing day-to-day priorities and supporting weekly planning and scheduling activities. Prerequisites for Success in This Role
• Tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering or an equivalent relevant discipline. • Minimum three years' Mine Engineering experience within an open-pit mining environment. • Demonstrated open-pit mine planning and design experience, including mine sequencing, with the ability to produce practical, high-quality designs efficiently to support weekly production planning. • Strong mine planning and CAD software capability, ideally including Minesight, Vulcan or comparable mine planning packages; APS scheduling experience desirable. • Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work across multiple disciplines, manage competing priorities and influence practical operational outcomes. Your Work Environment This permanent full-time position is offered on a 5:2, 4:3 drive-in, drive-out roster from Perth, with village accommodation provided while on site. Reporting to the Supervisor Mine Planning Engineer, you'll work as part of the Mine Technical Services team and collaborate closely with Short Term and Medium Term Planning, Mine Operations, Maintenance, Processing, FMS, Geology, Survey and Geotechnical teams.
