We are offering an exciting opportunity for the position of Clerk: Invoice. In this position you will play a crucial role to support our vision of becoming a Great place to work for all.
Role Outline To ensure the accurate processing, verification, and control of all dispatch documentation and inventory records within the warehouse shipment function. To carry out administrative duties in line with agreed performance standards and contribute to the continuous improvement of operational and administrative processes. To manage and control all dispatched stock by ensuring that invoices, delivery notes, and supporting documentation are accurately recorded, reconciled, and maintained according to operational standards and company procedures. To support the efficient dispatch of goods through accurate data capture, documentation control, and effective communication, while maintaining a high level of customer service. To perform administrative duties within the designated area of responsibility, ensuring compliance with company policies and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Accurate administration of documents for stock and pallets received and dispatched. • Ensure appointment times for deliveries are achieved. • Monitor shipments in designated areas • Monitor and oversee contract staff. • Continuous and consistent communication with all departments to ensure that all shipments are on time for collection • Sign all relevant documentation with regard to consignments i.e. delivery notes, CHEP documents, security seal documents etc • To ensure all processes followed are in accordance with the SOP's and Work Instructions
• Accurate flow of documents for the receipt and release of stock and pallets leave the warehouse • Investigate and correct all discrepancies and exception reports • Ensure all stock discrepancies are investigated and counter signed by the driver • Proper control of all documents needed to be returned to relevant departments. • To complete pallet document book to control pallets leaving the warehouse • Active participation in stock take planning, preparation and physical count. • To minimize shrinkage in line with targets. • Adhere to the units SHE rules and best practice. • Ensure that product safety, quality and integrity is not compromised. • Report any persons behavior that may impact on the safety, quality and integrity of the stored product.
Qualifications & Experience
• Matric (Grade 12) – Essential • Tertiary Qualification (Logistics/Business) Desirable • Warehouse Experience ± 3 years
