Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, Medical Rehabilitation
Job Posting Description: Position Summary The Nurse Practitioner (NP) provides comprehensive medical and rehabilitative care to medically complex pediatric patients on inpatient units. Working collaboratively with physicians and an interdisciplinary team, the NP provides high-quality, family-centered care with a high degree of clinical autonomy. Responsibilities include assessing and treating patients, developing individualized care plans, monitoring clinical progress, coordinating care across disciplines, and communicating closely with patients, families, and the care team.
Key Responsibilities • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans. • Diagnose and treat patients in collaboration with supervising physicians. • Order and review laboratory and diagnostic studies. • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and monitor changes in patient condition. • Coordinate care with medical, rehabilitation, nursing, and support teams. • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary colleagues. • Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation. • Perform routine clinical procedures within demonstrated competency. • Provide family-centered care while supporting continuity and coordination across the care team. Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/wk. with some weekend and holiday coverage Minimal Qualification Education • Master's degree or higher from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program. Experience
• Experience caring for medically complex pediatric patients. • Experience in an inpatient, rehabilitation, or hospital-based setting. • Experience working within an interdisciplinary, family-centered care model. • Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and care coordination skills. • Familiarity with electronic medical record systems. Licensure/Certifications • Current Massachusetts RN license and APRN authorization as a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP). • Current BLS certification.
