Position Description: Represent Texas Tech University both on and off campus to prospective students, parents, staff, and faculty of colleges and universities to attract quality applicants and achieve enrollment goals. Coordinate and contribute to the success of various visit schedules for colleges and universities in the assigned area. Plan assigned recruiting events and programs. Counsel prospective applicants on the admissions process and opportunities at the university.

Major/Essential Functions: • Participate in on-campus and off-campus recruiting events and other events as assigned by the Director of Student Success. Represent Texas Tech University and the J.T. & Margaret Talkington College of Visual & Performing Arts (TCVPA). Communicate knowledge of all degree programs across the college and relevant educational and career opportunities for students. – 20% • Lead daily academic info sessions for prospective students interested in the TCVPA and coordinate tours for student visitors and their families as able. Liaison with other staff across the TCVPA to assist with these visits as needed. Collaborate with TCVPA’s four units on group visits and other special visit groups, as needed. – 15% • Counsel prospective TCVPA applicants on the admissions process for both the university and for their desired program of interest. - 18% • Train TCVPA student ambassadors and oversee their participation in various recruitment-related events in collaboration with Director of Student Success and Lead Administrator for Recruitment. – 12% • Under guidance of Director of Student Success and Lead Administrator for Recruitment, develop and foster professional relationships with school counselors, teachers, and other strategic partners for first time in college and transfer student recruitment efforts. Work with TTU Undergraduate Admissions to strategically use existing databases and collaborate on recruitment opportunities – 10% • Under direction of the Director of Student Success, assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Enrollment Management and Recruitment strategic plan for the TCVPA. Incorporate and coordinate college ambassadors as team members to implement and execute the recruitment communication plan. Track, maintain, and assess, and report, program interest data after attending recruitment events to the Director of Student Success. – 10% • Review TCVPA program websites, marketing materials, and messaging each semester to ensure it meets recruitment needs. Relay findings and areas of improvement to Director of Student Success. – 10% • Participate in recruitment-orientated conferences, seminars, and webinars as time permits or as assigned by Director of Student Success. Perform other duties as assigned. – 5%

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Ability to travel and work flexible hours. • Strong written and oral communication skills. • Professionalism and ability to engage positively with prospective students, families, and stakeholders. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn university data systems.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree plus one year related experience; OR a combination of education and/or related experience to equal five years.

Preferred Qualifications: • Degree in visual or performing arts discipline. • Previous experience in recruitment, marketing, admissions, or related student services. • Familiarity with higher education recruitment strategies and CRM tools. • Experience coordinating events, presenting to large audiences, or engaging with high school and community college students. • Valid driver's license.

Pay Statement: Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as the institutional pay plan.
