Our client is seeking passionate, adaptable and committed Bank Lecturers in Maths to support our Maths provision across our campuses on an as-needed basis.

As a Bank Lecturer, you will join a pool of teaching staff who can provide both short-term and longer-term teaching cover, support curriculum delivery and contribute to the continued development of Maths provision throughout the academic year.

Applicants can indicate their preferred campus location: Trowbridge, Lackham, Chippenham or Salisbury.

You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of learners and make a genuine difference to their confidence, achievement and progression.

Salary:

Unqualified: £21.13 per hour plus holiday pay

Qualified: £25.34 per hour plus holiday pay

Contract Type: Variable Hours

Hours offered as required during term time, subject to curriculum delivery and learner requirements.

What You'll Do

You’ll deliver engaging, inclusive Maths teaching across a range of programmes, helping learners build the mathematical skills and confidence they need to succeed.

Teach and assess GCSE and Functional Skills MathsPlan engaging lessons for learners with diverse abilities and backgroundsPrepare learners for exams and assessmentsTrack progress and provide constructive feedbackDevelop learners’ confidence and mathematical skillsUse varied teaching, learning and assessment strategiesMaintain accurate learner recordsWork collaboratively with curriculum and support teamsContribute to curriculum development, quality improvement and enrichmentSupport learners to progress into further education, employment or higher-level study

What You'll Bring

Level 3 qualification or higher in Maths or a related subject, or significant relevant experienceStrong Maths subject knowledge, including GCSE and/or Functional SkillsExcellent communication, organisation and interpersonal skillsA flexible, adaptable and learner-centred approachAbility to create engaging lessons that meet diverse learning needsGenuine commitment to developing learners’ confidence, mathematical skills and achievement A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent is welcomed, as is experience in Further Education, secondary, adult, vocational or community education.
