Department: Middle School Reports To: Middle School Principal Employment Type: Full-Time, Fixed-Term (10-Month Contract: Sept – June) Compensation: €950 – €1,100 / monthly gross Working Schedule: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:30 Location: On-site | Chalandri, Athens, Greece About the Role ACS Athens is looking for a proactive and adaptable Middle School Monitoring Aide to join our team. In this role, you will be at the heart of our daily campus operations, ensuring a safe, positive, and structured environment for middle school students. From active campus supervision to assisting in classrooms and proctoring exams, you will directly support both students and faculty to keep our school day running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Student Safety & Campus Presence

• Active Supervision: Maintain high-visibility supervision during high-traffic periods, including morning arrival, recess, lunch breaks, and outdoor recreation.

• Campus Navigation: Guide students' transitions between classrooms, the library, theater, and sports facilities, ensuring a safe and respectful school climate.

Classroom & Academic Support

• In-Class Assistance: Provide active coverage and support teachers with group management or individual students' attention during instructional hours.

• One-on-One & Small Group Support: Help facilitate learning activities, supporting students with diverse needs under the direction of classroom teachers.

• Exam Proctoring: Supervise and maintain integrity during standardized testing, including MAP assessment and routine quizzes.

Operations & Behavioral Guidance

• Collaborative Support: Partner with the Middle School Principal, Assistant Principal, and Counselors to reinforce positive behavior strategies and community values.

• Resource Preparation: Assist teachers and staff with organizing, preparing, and distributing instructional materials.

Required Qualifications

• Language Proficiency: Fluency in English (written and spoken).

• Digital Literacy: Comfortable using basic educational tools, online platforms, and administrative software.

• Key Skills: Excellent interpersonal communication, classroom management abilities, situational awareness, and a collaborative mindset.

• Child Safeguarding: A clear commitment to keeping children safe and maintaining professional boundaries at all times.

Preferred Qualifications

• Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field.

• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience working with children/adolescents (ages 10–14 / 6–18) in an educational, tutoring, or group setting.
