About this role

Primary Function: To plan, organize and implement a developmentally appropriate Health Education program as designed by the Oregon Health Educational Standards in conjunction with the policies of the Klamath County School District. The goal of a comprehensive Health Education program is to promote healthful living and discourage healthrisk behaviors. School health programs can help ensure that students are fit, healthy, and ready to learn every day. Physical ability to adhere to OSHA and district safety regulations. Work within the district's communicable disease control plan (blood borne pathogens) and be aware of the existence and potential exposure to hazardous chemicals as identified on the MSDS sheets. This position is considered a safety sensitive position. Participates in activities which are related to school functions and/or the educative process which occur outside the regular school day, in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement. 5. Adhere to all Oregon Administrative Rules related to licensed educators. 8. Maintain appropriate licenses and training hours as required. 9. Regular attendance is an essential function of this position. 10. Other duties as assigned. Position will be at Lost River Jr./Sr. High School and Merrill and Malin Elemenary Schools. This is a temporary position.
