Help implement an after program for children ages 5-10 years. QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or GED Required
• Pass a Criminal Background Check that Meets State and Federal Laws
• Obtain & Maintain First Aid and CPR License within two months of hire
• Bilingual in English and Yup'ik preferred
• Able to Life 40 poundsAbility to live and work in a cross-cultural, rural Alaskan environment.
• Ability to carry out successfully the duties described below.
DUTIES
• Under the supervision of the teacher or leader, prepare for classroom activities
• Works with small groups of students to reinforce material introduced by the teacher or leader.
• Assists individual students in need of special attention
• Sets up and operates equipment
• Assists teacher or leader with non-instructional classroom duties such as snack, restroom breaks
• Assists with reading and storytellingParticipates in training as scheduled
• Checks and records student attendance and other record keeping duties
• Assists with the supervision of students
• Maintains the same high level of high ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about studentand fellow employees as is expected of teachers
• Performs other duties as assigned
